Alle scholen zijn weer begonnen. Dat betekent ook de start van een nieuw sportseizoen! Zo ook bij de voetbalclubs AFC Quick en vv Hooglanderveen uit Amersfoort evenals GVVV uit Veenendaal die deelnemen aan het provinciale project ‘Vuist tegen discriminatie’. Alle drie de clubs hadden op hun startdag speciale aandacht voor de thema’s ‘discriminatie, vooroordelen en uitsluiting’. Elke club deed dat op zijn eigen manier geïntegreerd in een aansprekend programma voor de leden en hun ouders.
Het project Vuist gaat uit van de sociale kracht van de sportclub; een plek waar sporters van jong tot oud uit alle lagen van de bevolking samenkomen. Juist de verbindende mogelijkheden staan centraal. En ook de grote rol en invloed die trainers op jongeren bij hun ontwikkeling hebben, wordt gebruikt. Alle clubs die deelnemen aan het project hebben ‘inclusie’ hoog in het vaandel staan en zijn actief aan de slag met het thema ‘discriminatie’. Het stellen van de juist sociale norm is een onderdeel van het project. En dit kreeg een prominente plek tijdens de startdagen van alle drie de voetbalclubs. Er hingen posters, het Vuist schild, reclamedoeken en er was aandacht voor de thema’s van Vuist in de voorlichting naar ouders en nieuwe leden.
Nieuwe ontmoetingen
Het project Vuist vindt voor een groot deel plaats in de club. Maar ook aandacht voor ‘nieuwe ontmoetingen’ is belangrijk om zo mensen in de buurt kennis te laten maken met de sport en club. In Veenendaal wordt door de vier vechtsportclubs die meedoen aan Vuist daarom ingezet op promotie van open lessen die ze in de Nationale Sportweek samen organiseren. Zij willen laten zien en ervaren dat vechtsport echt voor iedereen is. Een aansprekende flyer wordt vanaf nu verspreid onder inwoners van Veenendaal.
Scholing
Om de trainers van de clubs op de juiste manier toe te rusten actief een vuist te maken, worden er de komende maand op verschillende plekken scholingen georganiseerd door het NIVM. Tijdens deze scholing is er een actief praktijkdeel en krijgen alle deelnemers daarnaast de kennis en inzichten over discriminatie en vooroordelen aangereikt. Ook worden er tools overgedragen om het contact tussen die vele verschillende doelgroepen in de sportclub ook echt te benutten. Ze gaan aan de slag met sportieve werkvormen waarbij o.a. het inleven in de ander, begrip en respect voor elkaar en het maken van contact met sporters kan worden geoefend.
